exhale, dinah

Ever the poky one -- it takes me so darn long to think of something -- but I am now ready to post Dinah's book to the next participant, with this page newly attached:
30 cm/12 inches wide x 15 cm/6 inches high.
Hand embroidery over commercial print fabric,

mit tiny, shiny bits

Now, I need to see what I can do with this . . .and the meroitic alphabet . . .and the clothes pin people . . .
But not tonight. One triumph at a time, that's my motto.

Well, it'll be a day or two before I get to see it, but it looks lovely!

That page is wonderful. You do amaze me. Those clothespin people call to me. Yep, amazing.

Oops, need to rephrase my last comment (must proofread...must proofread)

The sketch is lovely, I'm impressed, I can barely thread a needle. And don't fret, you're not the only slow one in the group.I'm also taking my time.

I really love that piece you did for the SAQA trunk show.

Dinah,
Thanks again, so much, for inviting me to participate in this. It's so much fun.

Denise, I'm almost ready to post the final version of the clothespin people. It's somethign different for me -- no textiles!

Ellen, Thanks so much for the encouragement. I saw the crow you've sent out to us on your website and I feel quite . . . challenged. The piece in the trunk show is part of a series I'm doing inspired by Moby Dick. It took me most of my life (so far) to get around to reading it, now I'm completely captivated.
