I've finished Prayers on the River: Triptych. On Sunday, I'm having it photographed by someone who knows what he's doing so I can send it out into the world to be judged.

On to the next thing which is a very eccentric shape, 12 by 72 inches (yes, 1 foot high by 6 feet long -- it will fit over the sofa). It was inspired by some lines in a memoir,
Weekends with O'Keeffe, by a woman who spent some time with Georgia. The lines are "She said she had a dream of being a white bird with huge wings, gliding in the air or floating still in the sky. She said she has never seen the kind of bird she wanted to be." The author, C.S. Merrill, is also a poet. I want to use the quote in the panel and I've written for permssion. The book is wonderful -- full of profound wisdom matter-of-factly stated, delicately recounted backstairs rivalry amongst the help, insight into O'Keeffe's life and work, and occasional recipes.
