In which Stella learns the value of "Just One Cow"

[wail from the other room]

M: What's the matter, little cat?
S: I'm ssoooo boooooorrrrrrrrrrrreeeddddddddd.

M: I see. People were asking about you at the meeting this month.
S: Me? Really? What'd they say?

M: They were wondering when you'd get off your duff and post something again.
S: I'm not inspired.

M: Sometimes you just have to do something, any little thing, without worrying about it to get going.
S: Oh all right. Let me get up.

S: What's that?
M: Last week's grocery store flyer.
S: You're not going to throw that out, are you?
M: Last week's flyer.
S: Vintage paper.

S: I could Do Something with this.
M: That's the spirit, little cat.

S: Come look.
M: So soon? ooh. What do you call it?
S: "Tuna Dreaming: Deep Water, Deep Winter"

M: Ah. Conceptual.
S: All art is conceptual.
M: Very wise, pretty girl. And you didn't even have to get out of the bed.
S: I'm back. Alert the media.

Yes, Stella, very deep! It is good to see you back in your studio.
Estorbo has just looked over my shoulder. I don't think he understands concepts...

It's a whole 'nother world (talkin' cats)...and one I wish I was still part of.

Anyone for trumbru's? (wv)

Hi David! I thought we had lost you to Grandpa-land. It's so good to "see" you.

I love it! Stella, you're a gem! (You too, Melanie. Cats are such good company, aren't they?)

Nope, still in the land of the eternally youthful and stupid...and I'll get back to you with semi-intelligent words soon when I can find them.

Reading this again is brilliant. You and Stella are such a great double-act...like female/feline versions of Morcambe and Wise :o)

Hugs to you and a gentle caress under the chin for Stella (should that be the other way round?)

Many slybdqx's (wv) to you both,
DAVID

Is that the key to inspiration? Imagine yourself as another species?

THANK YOU for the chuckles this early cold January morning! Steve was reading over my shoulder and shared quite a few snickers too.

The key to inspiration, or so I've read, is not to make a fetish of it but just to do stuff and accept that some will be more successful than others.

Glad to brighten the day for y'all.
