under consideration

A second offering in the Prayers on the River series -- a triptych-y thing-y. I'm wondering about the balance of the components.

"boats" with candle flames only

"boats" with flowers only

"boats" with flames and flowers

I'm thinking flames and flowers, but not so many flowers (or not so densely gathered there at the bottom) and maybe not quite so brightly colored. More pink, less orange.

(Note: It's not a trapezoid, that's a demonstration of my Citizen Kane-like skills with camera angles. Welles is, after all, considered a genius . . .)

So...where's the "rosebud" toboggan!

More serious now...I like the flowers-at -the-bottom;perhaps fewer, as you say.
In the ceremony they have both on the water at the same time.

love the panels side together. Powerful effect. Just saw the Knights and Squires. That is amazing. See, this all comes from getting your studio space in place, which, btw, looks so neat and tidy.

Thanks Dinah. I'm also thinking about the flowers veritcally in the river panels. I'll see how that looks when I get back fromt he vet (not for me, Halloween's eyes are streaming)

Thanks, Barb. It is amazing how that "room of one's own" thing really does work.

Beautiful. If you're counting votes (and why would you, it's YOUR work!), I vote for flames only. I prefer the orange tones with the blue.

Thanks, Ellen. Input is always welcome -- the conversation often helps me discover what I'm after when it's a little vague.

I'm voting for flames and flowers...with some tucked under the boats.

I think it may too late to tuck -- the boats are fairly heavily stitched down, but I'll see.
