Behind curtain #1
Is all the fabric that there is. On one, and only one, rolling shelf unit that fits neatly into the opening of the closet. (No, I'm not up to the Please iron those curtains, Melanie, my god, there are people here . . .)
Now that I've found the floor, I'm up to the sweeping/vacuuming/mopping part. And now that I can move around in the room relatively freely, I'm painting the walls. Behr paint #320A: Provence Cream. You wouldn't think it would be this hard to pick an off-white, but I've painted one wall to see how it looks and I can't decide if it's too yellow. More butter than cream. Ah me. Everyone should have problems of this weight -- and no more than this weight.
Stay tuned.

A mammoth task! Glad you didn't pitch it all out..... and I must say I'm impressed that you're painting the walls too.
Whooof! Do you contract out? I'd offer free bed and board, but that wouldn't work - too much clutter in the spare room.
No, seriously, I'm very impressed.
bravo! well done!
It's still a little early for kudos, but the encouragement is MUCH appreciated.
I hope the picture trail will be a reminder never to let things get this bad again.
I think the response to that is "hee-hee. . ."
Yes , I'd love it if you'd come and organise my stash too ! As payment , I'd offer a constant supply of Pea Soup and Pancakes .
But I'd quite understand if you just wanted to stay at home and admire your perfectly organised hoard !
Sonata .
goodness.
I may have to renew my passport.
And rethink my reluctance to travel.
